Upgrade for Book of Eldritch Might II: Songs and Souls of
Power
This
is an upgrade only, for those who have previously purchased
Book
of Eldritch Might II: Songs and Souls of Power.
Malhavoc
Press has created an updated version of the electronic (PDF)
edition of Book of Eldritch
Might II: Songs and Souls of Power. The new version,
which updates the book to be compatible with v. 3.5 of the
d20 System rules, is now for sale. Those of you who have
already bought the Book of Eldritch Might II: Songs and
Souls of Power PDF can purchase this low-cost upgrade
to update your copy to the new version!
This
upgrade, for Windows users only, is just a file that you
download, unzip, and then execute. You'll be asked where
your copy of the Book of Eldritch Might II: Songs and
Souls of Power is, and then it will automatically change
your PDF copy of the book to reflect the changes. (You might
be told that the time stamp on your PDF doesn't match, but
don't worry, it will still work.) Of course, you must have
previously purchased the electronic edition of Book of
Eldritch Might II: Songs and Souls of Power for the
upgrade to work.
Important:
If you bought Book of Eldritch Might II: Songs and Souls
of Power on or after January 22, 2004, you DO NOT need
this upgrade.
USING
THE UPGRADE:
1. Make sure you have a backup copy of your original PDF
file.
2. Make sure you have the most recent prior version of The
Book of Eldritch Might II: Songs and Souls of Power,
or the upgrade will not work. To get the most recent prior
version, you must have purchased your copy of the PDF after
January 31, 2003, or have run a prior free patch. For these
free patches*, see below.
3. Go to our online
catalog to buy the upgrade. Proceed through checkout
there, then download it from the link provided.
4. Unzip/run the upgrade.
* Free
patches (below) corrected errata points, updated the layout,
added sections from this website, and fixed typographical
errors.
The
3.5 upgrade is for the revised version of "Book of
Eldritch Might II: Songs and Souls of Power" dated
1/27/03; 5547261 bytes
Verify on back cover: "PDF Version 4.0 January 30,
2003"
This is the most recent previous version of the book.
After
the update, the file should have the following properties:
On back cover: "PDF Version 5.0 January 22, 2004"
In the PDF Properties tab: Modified January 19, 2004
File size: 4,410,745 bytes
Content
Note: This upgrade updates only the rules of the previous
PDF edition of the book to v.3.5 of the d20 System. It does
not contain additional artwork or entirely new sections.
Guidelines on using Eldritch Might rules with Monte Cook's
Arcana Unearthed are found only in The
Complete Book of Eldritch Might.

the PDF version's text match the text in the print edition
of the book.
You
must use the Update 2 patch if you want to use the Update
3 patch available above and you downloaded the book between
March 1, 2002 and July 24, 2002 -- or if you downloaded
the book earlier than March 1 but you've already used the
Update 1 patch (see "Original Free Patch," below).
If you bought the book before March 1, 2002, use the Update
1 patch below before downloading the Update 2 patch. If
you downloaded the book after July 24, 2002, go straight
to the Update 3 patch described above.
