The
following information can be used to supplement our
products, The Book of
Eldritch Might and Book
of Eldritch Might II: Songs and Souls of Power.
The first is an abbreviated listing of the spellsongs
for the alternate bard. The second is a list of spells
from the books that can be made permanent with the
permanency spell.

Permanency
and the Books of Eldritch Might
As
astute readers of the PH have noticed, there's a formula
for determining the minimum level and XP for spells
that can be made permanent. Basically, you add 8 to
the level of the spell (with a minimum result of 9th
level) and multiply the level by 500 XP (minimum 500).
However, I did not follow that formula strictly in
the listing below. If you wish to, use the formula
for the spells below. What I have done is adjusted
the minimum level and XP cost to what seemed appropriate,
while sticking to the general parameters. (In fact,
perhaps in a future column I will expand the list
of PH spells that can be made permanent, with allowable
levels and XP costs above the formula norm.)
